Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in our busy Portland birth center clinic. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations. If you have experience in a medical office setting, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
-Arrive on time to open clinic
- Greet and welcome clients with a warm and professional demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect patient and, insurance plan information and update demographics in EHR
- Process payments and send payment reminders
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, release of records and data entry
- Coordinate with midwifery staff to ensure efficient patient flow, fax records release and outside requisitions for ultrasounds etc
- Handle inquiries and provide accurate information about our services over phone and emails
-Clinic closure with attention to security
Requirements:
-Warm, friendly personality on phone and in person
- Previous experience as a medical front desk receptionist
- Proficient in using EHR, Faxing, data entry and ability to learn Monday (office software)
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Midwifery or Obgyn a plus

HOURS 21.5-23.5/week (no weekends)
Shift 1-Mon 9:00-4:00, Tues 9:00-7:30 (hour paid break), Weds 9:00-1:00
Shift 2- Weds 1:00-7:00, Thur 9:00-7:30 (hour paid break), Fri 9:00-4:00
